We work on basic methods and manufacturing processes and transfer them into novel applications. In doing so, we focus on how research results from mechatronics and optronics can be used to develop solutions in automation as well as in transport and conveyor technology. The focus is on innovative, fundamental methods and processes as well as solutions that can be implemented in production technology, in which light plays a central role. Optics and laser processes as well as printing technology are key technologies that are used to redesign the production and logistics of the future.
